So, I had to break down a couple months ago and buy a small commuter vehicle. I still have my Truck, but at 13 MGP and a 100 miles a day it was really starting to hurt when gas hit $4.00 a gallon. I call it a "Crap Box" because of my dislike for little cars, but at 30 Mpg it is saving me almost a $100 a week in gas. At that rate it will pay for itself in gas in just over a year! Can't complain so far. Filled it this morning $33 and did the math... 32MPG.
Another funny part to this story is when I bought the car I really wasnt planning on buying it that day, but after I stuck a deal with the guy he wanted to know how I was going to pay. I didn't think about that part... I asked him if he took plastic, he shrugged his shoulders and said "Why Not". Easiest car I've ever bought only 2 signatures. However the credit card statement hurt that next month. :)
Now that gas is approaching $2 again you should trade it in for a Dodge Challenger.
